• How many pages does the HP CC643WN print?

  HP rates the CC643WN at about 165 pages under ISO/IEC 24711 test conditions, printing standard pages at around 5% coverage. Your own count will move with coverage, paper and settings — dense colour pages use far more ink than plain text.

• Black or tri-color — do I need both?

• Where is the printhead on this cartridge?

  Built into the cartridge itself. Every swap fits a fresh printhead, which is why a new cartridge often clears streaks and missing colours that cleaning cycles could not fix on these models.

• Standard or XL — which should I buy?

  This is the standard-yield cartridge, rated at about 165 pages. If you print every week, the XL version of the same colour works out cheaper per page; for a lightly used printer, this size avoids ink sitting unused.

• Is the CC643WN pigment or dye ink?

  It is dye-based ink, matching the original CC643WN: colours are vivid and blend smoothly, which is what these printers are tuned for.

• What chip does this cartridge use?

  Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer, so the low-ink warnings keep working. It is not a refilled original shell with a reset chip.

• A warning appeared after fitting this cartridge — how do I clear it?

  Acknowledge the on-screen message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks, and restart the printer. If the warning persists, wipe the gold chip contacts with a dry lint-free cloth and reinstall.

• Is the HP 60 the same fit as the HP 901?

  No. They serve different printer generations — the 60 fits the DeskJet F-series, Photosmart C4600/D110 and the ENVY 100, 110 and 120 on this page, while the 901 belongs to the OfficeJet 4500 and J-series. The cartridges are not interchangeable.

• Will it work next to genuine HP cartridges in the other slots?

  Yes. Each slot is read independently, so a compatible black alongside original colours (or the other way round) prints normally.

• Is this made by HP?
