Frequently Asked Questions

Which cartridge code should I look for before ordering?

Pull the cartridge that is in the machine now and read its label. If it says W1480A — the 148A cartridge — this twin pack is the same part. The code on the cartridge is the check that matters, not the model badge printed on the printer's door. That label check is the whole compatibility test, and the code it names is shared by the 4001dn, 4001dw and 4002dn, and the 4101fdn and 4101fdw multifunctions — one twin pack serves the family.

What do I get in this twin pack?

Two black 148A cartridges, each sealed in its own protective bag inside the carton, for $100.88. The idea is simple: one cartridge goes into the printer today and the second waits on the shelf, so a midweek empty never turns into an emergency order.

How long does a 1,500-page cartridge last in a small office?

On a shared desk printer turning out letters, invoices and short reports, 1,500 pages is a few weeks of ordinary work. Coverage sets the real pace — a page of dense text spends more toner than a short memo — and this standard-capacity rating suits offices whose printing comes in daily handfuls rather than long runs.

The printer says low toner. Should I swap right away?

Not necessarily. Low is a warning, not a stop. Keep printing while the spare sits ready, and change the cartridge when pages start to fade evenly or the warning turns persistent. Having the second cartridge already on site is what makes that wait-and-see approach safe.

How is the change done?

Open the top cover, slide the spent cartridge straight out, and unpack a fresh one. Rock it gently side to side to settle the toner, remove the packing materials, slide it in until it seats, and close the cover. The whole job takes a couple of minutes and needs no tools.

What cover comes with these cartridges?

Every cartridge we sell is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a faulty unit is replaced or refunded instead of argued over. If you want a person rather than a page, our support team is available Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This 148A Twin Pack

This twin pack is the shelf-ready way to run an HP LaserJet Pro 4001dn in a small shared office: two W1480A black cartridges rated at 1,500 pages each, one working and one waiting. At $100.88 it suits teams that would rather reorder calmly when the spare goes in than scramble when a cartridge runs dry. If the office's volume climbs past what standard capacity handles comfortably, the high-yield 148X (W1480X) twin pack stretches each change much further.

Orders leave from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA is nearest to you, and the shipping & returns page sets out delivery timing in full. The rest of the range for this printer family lives under HP in the catalogue.
