The Standard tier's yellow, and the cartridge that quietly decides whether your colors look right: the T125420-S, DURABrite Ultra pigment ink rated up to 305 pages (ISO/IEC 24711), new compatible chip, for Epson's eleven 125 printers — Stylus NX125, NX127, NX130, NX230, NX420, NX530, NX625 and WorkForce 320, 323, 325, 520.

Yellow carries more mixed colors than any other cartridge, so its near-doubling over the Moderate tier (305 against 175 pages) is the upgrade color printers feel first. Together with cyan (T125220-S) and magenta (T125320-S) at the same rating and the black (T125120-S) at 230, this is the Standard set's balance — and because the platform swaps colors individually, a spent yellow never forces you to buy the other three.
Fit, as always on this platform, is a roster and not a resemblance: the NX330, NX430 and WorkForce 435 take no 125 cartridge in any color; the NX530, NX625 and WorkForce 520 take no 124. The eleven models below are the whole of Epson's list for this cartridge. Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Pages per cartridge?
Up to 305 (ISO/IEC 24711) — the T125420-S's own rating, identical to the other two 125 colors and well above the Moderate yellow's 175.
Which models take it?
Stylus NX125, NX127, NX130, NX230, NX420, NX530, NX625; WorkForce 320, 323, 325, 520.
My greens turned blue overnight. Is yellow the culprit?
Very likely: yellow is a component of green and most warm tones, so a low or clogged yellow shifts colors before it disappears. Print the nozzle check pattern — it shows each color separately — and clean the head if yellow's block is broken.
Ink type?
Pigment (DURABrite Ultra), in this and every cartridge of the platform. Instant-dry, water-resistant.
Will it fit a WorkForce 435?
No — the 435's map is 124 + 126. Nor the NX330 or NX430. Those models' pages here sell the 124 line; this page's eleven-model list is complete for the 125 yellow.
Chip behavior I should know about?
This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur with compatible chips. Reseat and restart as the first step; a cartridge that still won't perform is covered by our lifetime warranty.
Mixing with 124 cartridges — allowed?
On core models (Stylus NX125–NX420, WorkForce 320/323/325), yes, slot by slot. On the NX530, NX625 and WorkForce 520, every slot stays on the 125 branch.
Is the level gauge reliable with this cartridge?
Treat it as approximate: Epson's own manuals note the display may not read correctly with non-genuine cartridges. Fading color is the trustworthy signal.
"T1254" — same cartridge?
Yes, shorthand for T125420-S (…1 black, …2 cyan, …3 magenta, …4 yellow).
Why does yellow run out first on photo prints?
Because it underlies skin tones, greens and warm backgrounds — photo pages can spend yellow faster than its document-based ISO rating suggests. The rating is a standardized document pattern, not a photo promise.
Genuine or compatible?
Compatible — Clever Supplies, built to the T125420-S specification, labeled compatible on the box and this page.
Coverage if it fails?
Lifetime warranty on performance, free returns within year one. Keep a spare sealed and upright at room temperature; opened cartridges are best used within about six months (Epson platform guidance).
