Frequently Asked Questions
Six color cartridges for a machine with three color slots — how does that add up?
It adds up as a working round plus a reserve round. The six cartridges cover the three color positions of the Dell 3110cn — cyan 310-8094, magenta 310-8096 and yellow 310-8098. The listing does not promise an exact per-color split in the box, so think of it as six cartridges across those three positions: three go into the machine, and the rest stay sealed on the shelf as your next changes. There is no black cartridge in this set; black is a separate purchase.
What is the per-cartridge price once you do the math?
The set is $470.88, which averages about $78.48 per cartridge. Six of these cartridges bought as singles at $93.89 each would run $563.34, so the set saves $92.46 against that route. It also undercuts buying two of the 3 color sets by $18.50, so the deeper bundle is the better rate for an office that knows it will use the reserve.
How much printing does a box like this actually cover?
Every cartridge in it — 310-8094, 310-8096 and 310-8098 alike — is rated at 8,000 pages, so the box holds up to 48,000 pages of rated color capacity. How long that lasts depends entirely on your color mix: a 3110cn printing color documents all day works through a round far faster than one that mostly prints black text with the occasional color logo.
How should the spare cartridges be stored?
Keep them sealed, upright and out of direct sunlight, at normal room temperature. Draw the oldest stock first when a color runs out instead of opening whichever box is on top. Stored that way, a reserve round waits on the shelf without any special handling, and each cartridge is still covered from its own purchase terms.
Who should think twice before buying the 6 color set?
Anyone whose 3110cn prints color only occasionally. If a single color round lasts your office the better part of a year, the 3 color set — or even one single cartridge — ties up less money and does the same job. This 6-pack makes sense for steady color volume, a shared departmental machine, or a supply closet that serves more than one printer.
What protection comes with the set, and how does delivery work?
These are compatible cartridges, not original Dell stock, and each one carries a one-year warranty with one-year free returns — details on our shipping & returns page. Orders leave from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central, and the wider range is browsable on the Dell brand page.
About This 3110 6 Color Set
Built for a Dell 3110cn that prints color every week, this set puts six cartridges across the cyan 310-8094, magenta 310-8096 and yellow 310-8098 positions — one round in the machine, one round in reserve — at $470.88, an average of about $78.48 a cartridge against $93.89 singles. It is a stock-up purchase, not a first-aid one: if your colors are not low yet, or your color volume is light, the smaller set is the more honest buy.
