Frequently Asked Questions
Three cartridges and no black — is something missing from this set?
Nothing is missing; the set is deliberately colors-only. Inside are one cyan 310-8094, one magenta 310-8096 and one yellow 310-8098 — a single cartridge for each color slot of a Dell 3110cn. The black slot is not part of this bundle, so if your black is also low it has to be ordered on its own. We would rather say that plainly here than have you find an empty black slot on install day.
How long does each color in the set last?
Each of the three is rated at 8,000 pages: the 310-8094 cyan, the 310-8096 magenta and the 310-8098 yellow carry the same rating, so a full round of the set represents up to 24,000 pages of color capacity. Real life is less tidy — a color-heavy report drains one cartridge faster than the others, and a mostly black-and-white month barely touches any of them.
What does the set save against buying the three colors separately?
On this site each of these cartridges costs $93.89 as a single, so the three bought one by one come to $281.67. The set is $244.69 — $36.98 less, which works out to an average of about $81.56 per cartridge instead of $93.89. It is the same three cartridges with the same ratings; the difference is simply ordering the full color round in one box.
Do all three have to be installed the day the box arrives?
No. Replace only the color the 3110cn flags as empty and leave the other two sealed in the box. Each cartridge keeps its own rating and its own coverage whether it goes in today or in three months, and there is no benefit to swapping a color that still has life in it.
Are these genuine Dell cartridges?
No. They are compatible cartridges manufactured to the 310-8094, 310-8096 and 310-8098 specifications and sold under our own brand, which is a large part of why the set can be priced at $244.69. Every cartridge in it is covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns; the full wording is on our shipping & returns page.
Where does the set ship from, and who answers questions about it?
We dispatch from the warehouse nearest to you out of our four — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California. Questions before or after ordering are answered by our support team Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central, and the rest of the range for this printer family sits on the Dell brand page.
About This 3110 3 Color Set
This is the complete color refresh for a Dell 3110cn in a single order: one 310-8094 cyan, one 310-8096 magenta and one 310-8098 yellow, each rated at 8,000 pages, for $244.69 against $281.67 bought as singles. It fits an office whose colors are all getting low together and that wants one delivery instead of three separate orders. If only one color has actually run dry, the honest cheaper move is that single cartridge — this set earns its price when the whole color side of the machine is due.
