Frequently Asked Questions
Can toner for this machine really be one line on the annual budget?
For the right volume, yes. Five Canon GPR-40 black cartridges (GPR40BK) hold 80,000 pages; an office printing around 1,500 pages a week gets through roughly that in a year. One purchase at the start of the budget year, and toner for the machine is accounted for until the next one — no quarterly orders, no mid-year price drift.
What does the 5 pack bring the cartridge price down to?
$46.80 per cartridge. The pack is $233.98 against $307.90 for five singles bought separately, saving $73.92, and the running cost settles at about 0.29 cents per page. Each step up the pack ladder shaves the same cartridge further; this size is where the per-cartridge price first drops below $47.
What changes day to day when a year's toner is bought at once?
Mostly, things stop happening: no reorder reminders, no approval chain for a single cartridge, no week where the machine waits on a delivery. The working rule becomes simple — when the last cartridge from the box goes into the machine, next year's order goes on the list.
Is five cartridges too much stock to hold?
It depends entirely on throughput. At volumes well below 1,500 pages a week, five 16,000-page cartridges can sit longer than stock should, and the 2 pack or 3 pack keeps rotation healthier. At or above that pace, five is simply a year of known demand bought at the best available unit price — the honest test is your own page count, not the size of the box.
What protection covers a purchase of this size?
Every cartridge carries an individual 1-year warranty, with free returns inside the first year — a span that matches the period this pack is bought to cover. If any unit underperforms, it is dealt with on its own under the terms on our shipping and returns page.
Is this Canon-manufactured toner?
No. These are compatible cartridges made to the Canon GPR-40 (GPR40BK) specification and sold under our own brand. Same rated yield of 16,000 pages per cartridge and the same fit — the annual-budget arithmetic works because compatible pricing and pack pricing compound.
