Frequently Asked Questions
How far does a 3 pack stretch for a mid-volume department?
Three Canon GPR-40 black cartridges (GPR40BK) hold 48,000 pages. A department printing around 2,000 pages a week works through that in roughly 24 weeks — half a year of output settled in a single order, with no toner decision due again until the next half begins.
What does the pack save against ordering the cartridges one by one?
Three singles come to $184.74. This pack is $147.79, saving $36.95 and bringing each 16,000-page cartridge down to $49.26. The running cost works out to about 0.31 cents per page, compared with roughly 0.38 cents when the same cartridges are bought singly.
Why buy half a year of toner in one order?
Three practical reasons: one purchase order instead of three, a per-cartridge price locked at the pack rate for the whole period, and a buffer that absorbs a heavy month without an emergency reorder. For offices that plan supplies in halves — aligned to budgets or terms — the pack simply matches the planning cycle.
How should the two cartridges that are not in the machine be kept?
Sealed, flat, and in a cool, dry store cupboard. Take them in the order they arrived, so stock rotates instead of ageing at the back of the shelf. Toner is a dry powder and stores patiently, but first-in, first-out keeps the routine foolproof.
What cover applies across the three cartridges?
The 1-year warranty and free first-year returns apply to each cartridge individually, so one faulty unit is resolved on its own while the other two keep the machine supplied. Terms and the returns route are on our shipping and returns page.
Is this genuine Canon stock?
No — it is compatible stock built to the Canon GPR-40 (GPR40BK) specification and sold under our own brand. Each cartridge installs as the original does and is rated at the same 16,000 pages; the pack price reflects compatible branding, not a lesser cartridge.
