What does a page cost with this cartridge?

At $119.09 for up to 44,000 pages, about 0.27 cents a page. That fraction is the whole economics of this family: the cartridge looks expensive on the shelf because the page count inside it is enormous. Judged the way a copy room actually spends money — per finished page — the GPR-30BK runs at a fraction of a cent, and the multi-packs of this family trim the fraction slightly further.

Why buy the single when the packs work out cheaper per cartridge?

Two good reasons, and one honest caution. The single is the right buy as a first compatible cartridge in a machine that has only ever run name-brand toner — one cartridge proves the point at the lowest commitment. How do I tell a truly empty cartridge from one that has just settled?

On a machine working this hard, toner settles and compacts toward the draw side, and output pales unevenly while plenty remains. Remove the cartridge, hold it level, rock it gently end to end several times, and reinstall. If density evens out, the cartridge was settled, not empty, and you have bought yourself real pages. If output stays uniformly pale after rocking and the machine's counter is near the 44,000 rating, believe it — the cartridge is done.

What cover comes with it?
