Frequently Asked Questions

Nobody here noticed the yellow running out — until the greens turned blue. Why?

Because yellow fails silently. It lightens almost nothing on a text page, so a fading Canon 055 yellow (055Y) gives no warning until color mixes break: greens slide toward blue, warm photos turn cold, and highlights look dirty. This compatible replacement is rated for 2,100 pages at $58.77 and restores the warm half of your color palette.

Our prints look cold and blue-ish, but black text is perfect — is that yellow?

It is the textbook signature. Black and cyan still doing their jobs while yellow fades leaves every page with a cold cast — blues survive, but anything that needed yellow in the mix comes out wrong. Swap the 055Y before you blame the printer or the paper; it is the cheapest diagnosis you will ever make on a color machine.

Should we switch to the 055H yellow?

If this keeps happening mid-quarter, consider it. The Canon 055H yellow (055HY) is the high-yield member of the family — the same $58.77 on our shelf, and a markedly longer-lasting cartridge, so the quiet-fade surprise arrives far less often. Light color users will find this standard 055Y entirely adequate; the H class earns its place when color pages are a daily habit.

Is this a genuine Canon product?

No — it is a compatible cartridge built to the Canon 055 yellow specification (055Y) and sold under our own brand, which is how it reaches you at $58.77 rather than at original-brand pricing. It installs the same way and carries the same 2,100-page rating.

How quickly do you deliver?

From the closest of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — so most orders arrive within a few business days of dispatch. Our team is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you need a hand.

What if it does not perform?

It is covered by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free within that first year. No forms marathon, no restocking games — the full policy is spelled out on our shipping and returns page.
