Frequently Asked Questions

Our company red prints orange — sometimes almost brown. Where do we look first?

At the magenta. Red is built mostly from magenta and yellow, and when the Canon 055 magenta (055M) fades near the end of its 2,100 rated pages, reds slide toward orange and skin tones turn muddy. This compatible replacement at $58.77 puts the balance back. A quick tell: if purples have gone blue-ish at the same time, magenta is definitely the tired one.

Is 2,100 pages enough for a marketing-heavy office?

That depends on how much of your output is color-dense. Brochures, flyers and photo-heavy pages draw far more magenta than a text document with a red logo, so a rated 2,100 pages can pass quickly in a marketing seat. At roughly 2.80 cents per rated page, the honest advice for heavy color users is to look at the high-yield 055H magenta (055HM) — same $58.77 shelf price here, and a markedly longer-lasting cartridge.

Why do faces look sunburned in our prints?

Usually because magenta is running unevenly low — skin tones lean too red or too orange when the magenta layer thins while cyan and yellow still have life. Replacing the 055M restores the mix. If the whole set is the same age, though, weigh a coordinated refresh: one fresh color among three tired ones rarely gives you the photo quality you are chasing.

Is this cartridge made by Canon?

No — it is a compatible cartridge produced to the Canon 055 magenta specification (055M), sold under our own brand at $58.77. It installs the same way as the original and is rated for the same 2,100 pages.

How soon would it reach us?

We route orders from the nearest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, so most deliveries land within a few business days. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST for order questions.

What protection do we get?

A 1-year warranty and free returns for the whole first year — if the cartridge underperforms, sending it back costs you nothing. The full wording is on our shipping and returns page.
