Frequently Asked Questions

Two standard cartridges in one box — what does the pairing knock off the single-cartridge price?

$6.32 in total, and we will not dress it up as more than it is. The TN730 sells singly at $72.80; this 2 pack is $139.28, which works out at $69.64 a cartridge. Against the pack's own $194.99 list price the saving looks larger — $55.71 under list — but against two singles bought on this site, $6.32 is the honest figure. The pack's real offer is a shelf spare bought in the same order as the cartridge you fit today.

At about 5.8 cents a page, is this the economical way to run these printers?

For volume printing, honestly no. The TN760 high-yield cartridge fits the same nine printers, carries 3,000 pages and prints at roughly 2.9 cents a page — close to half this pack's per-page cost. The TN730's ground is different: light, intermittent printing where the smaller cartridge outlay suits the actual usage, and where a cartridge may sit in the machine for months. If your printer works hard every day, price the TN760 first.

How much printing is in the pack?

Two TN730 cartridges at 1,200 pages each give 2,400 pages of toner. Both are the standard genuine cartridge, identical to the single — the pack changes only the unit price and the fact that the second one is already in the building when the first runs out. At light home-office pace, that can be a long interval between orders.

Where does the DR730 drum fit into the picture?

Behind about five of these packs. The DR730 drum this cartridge works through is rated at 12,000 pages — roughly ten TN730 cartridges — so a 2 pack consumes a fifth of a drum's life. Nothing in this pack touches the drum cycle; when the drum's own warning eventually appears, it is a separate purchase, or one of the TN730 and DR730 bundles on this site.

Which printers does this pack fit?

The nine models of the TN730 platform: the DCP-L2550DW; the HL-L2350DW, HL-L2370DW, HL-L2370DW XL, HL-L2390DW and HL-L2395DW; and the MFC-L2710DW, MFC-L2750DW and MFC-L2750DW XL.

How are returns and warranty handled on this pack?

Both cartridges are genuine Brother stock, so the OEM terms cover them: returns within 30 days of delivery, in all cases, and warranty protection through Brother's manufacturer warranty. The detail is set out on our shipping and returns page. If anything arrives damaged or faulty, contact support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, inside the return window.
