Frequently Asked Questions

Does "Premium Quality" mean these cartridges are better than the standard listing?

No — and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up. The Premium Quality set and the standard set hold the same four cartridges, carry the same $72.88 price and come with the same warranty and return terms. Nothing inside the box changes with the label: black 106R01281, cyan 106R01278, magenta 106R01279 and yellow 106R01280, one of each, sealed and ready to load.

What should we check on the carton when the delivery lands at the studio?

Read the four part numbers against your order before breaking a seal. A correct set for the Phaser 6130 shows 106R01281 on the black cartridge, 106R01278 on cyan, 106R01279 on magenta and 106R01280 on yellow. Thirty seconds with the labels rules out a mix-up with another toner family while the carton is still returnable and unopened.

Will the color cartridges really reach 1,900 pages on flyer and proof work?

The 1,900-page rating for each color is measured at standard document coverage — a page of text with modest graphics. A full-bleed flyer or a photo-heavy proof drinks far more toner per sheet, so a studio running that kind of work should expect the colors to land well short of the rating. Black 106R01281 is rated at 2,500 pages on the same basis. Treat the numbers as a comparison yardstick, not a promise for heavy-coverage jobs.

When one color fades on a proof run, do we have to change all four?

No. Each cartridge is its own sealed unit and swaps independently, so a magenta that gives out mid-proof is replaced on its own while the other three keep working. On photo-rich work the colors rarely empty together — whichever channel your artwork leans on hardest tends to finish first, and the set lets you answer that one channel without touching the rest.

How long can a spare set sit on the shelf between campaigns?

Sealed cartridges keep well in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and heat vents — months of shelf time is normal for a studio that buys ahead of a busy season. Keep the seals intact until the day a cartridge goes in; an opened cartridge sitting in a drawer is the one that ages badly, not a sealed one.

What cover comes with the set if a cartridge disappoints?

Every set carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, and the details live on our shipping and returns page. If you want to talk a problem through first, support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Phaser 6130 Premium Quality 4 Color Set

This set is built for the small studio or marketing desk whose Xerox Phaser 6130 earns its keep on color work — flyers, sell sheets, client proofs — rather than plain correspondence. The black cartridge is rated at 2,500 pages and each color at 1,900, so text-heavy days lean on the black while campaign weeks draw the colors down faster. Orders leave from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA gets the set to you soonest, and the complete four-cartridge carton costs $72.88 with nothing else required to run the machine.
