Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Phaser 3500B take a special cartridge of its own?

No. The 3500B runs on the same 106R01149 high-yield black cartridge as the rest of the Phaser 3500 platform — this listing is that cartridge, one unit at $104.65, rated at up to 12,000 pages. Check the label on the cartridge you remove: if it reads 106R01149, this box is its replacement, whatever badge the printer carries.

Which printers share this cartridge?

The 106R01149 fits the Phaser 3500, Phaser 3500B and Phaser 3500DN. Xerox built the series around one cartridge, so an office running several badges can standardise on a single toner box.

How long does one cartridge last in the 3500B?

The rating is up to 12,000 pages at standard coverage. A desk printing a few hundred pages a month may not think about toner again for years; a busier machine at 1,000 pages a month will work through it in about a year. Dense, graphics-heavy documents draw toner faster and shorten that span.

What's the running cost per page?

At $104.65 for a rated 12,000 pages, this single works out to about 0.87 cents per page. That is the one-at-a-time price of running this platform; the figure improves if you later move to the multi-packs, but for a single machine with moderate output it already keeps printing costs below a cent a sheet.

Is there a multi-pack listed for the 3500B?

Yes — the Phaser 3500B 5 pack bundles the same cartridge at $449.29, about $89.86 per unit. It is the version to choose once you know your monthly volume and would rather reorder rarely than save shelf space.

What if I'm not happy with it?

The cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the policy set out on our shipping and returns page. If the fit or the output disappoints, our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST to sort it out under the warranty.

About This Phaser 3500B Single Cartridge

This listing puts the platform's shared cartridge under the 3500B's own name: one compatible 106R01149 high-yield black cartridge, $104.65, rated for up to 12,000 pages. It is the direct replacement for a 3500B that has run dry — and because the whole series uses the same unit, it doubles as the spare for the other badges in the family too. Orders ship from the nearest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses. The rest of the family's singles and packs are collected on our Xerox toner cartridges page.
