    Frequently Asked Questions

Why do skin tones and photographs look dull and yellowish before any low-toner warning appears?

That washed, slightly jaundiced look is often the earliest sign that magenta is fading. Healthy skin, brickwork, wood, warm food photography and autumn colors all lean heavily on magenta mixed with yellow, so when magenta thins out the yellow takes over and faces turn sallow while reds lose their depth. The printer may stay silent for a while because a warning is triggered by a level threshold, not by how a photograph looks, and text pages will still seem perfectly normal. If black lettering is sharp but a familiar photo has drifted toward mustard, suspect this 113R00724 first rather than the screen, the paper or the file.

My purples are printing blue and my reds are coming out orange — does that point to this cartridge?

Yes, that exact pair of shifts is a magenta fingerprint. Purple is built from magenta laid over cyan, so remove the magenta and only the blue side remains. Red is built from magenta over yellow, so weaken the magenta and the result slides toward orange. When both changes arrive together, while greens and plain blues still look roughly right, the pattern isolates the magenta supply far more reliably than a single odd print does. Print one test page with a red square, a purple square and a pink gradient: if all three are wrong in the directions described, replacing the 113R00724 is the direct answer, not a driver clean-out.

What happens if I keep printing color work after the magenta warning shows?

The machine will usually let you continue, but the output stops being trustworthy. Logos print off-brand, sale banners lose their red punch, charts that separate two series in crimson and navy collapse into a muddle, and you burn paper and the other colors on pages that need reprinting anyway. Black-only documents are the exception — mono text does not draw on this cartridge, so a run of letters or invoices can safely finish. For anything a customer will see, treat the warning on a networked machine such as the Phaser 6180DN as the stopping point for color, swap the unit, and rerun the affected jobs once on the fresh supply.

If magenta only appears in our logo and headings, how should I read the 6,000-page rating?

Read it as coverage-dependent, not as a promise that every office gets exactly 6,000 sheets. The rating assumes a standard test page, so a letterhead where magenta covers a thin masthead line and a small logo sips far less per sheet than a full-bleed brochure would gulp. At $64.27, the rated cost works out near 1.07 cents a page, but a light-coverage office stretches those pages much further in calendar terms — months of ordinary correspondence can pass before this cartridge is spent. Heavy users should judge it the opposite way: dense marketing pages consume the fill faster, yet the high-yield size still postpones the interruption compared with a smaller cartridge doing the same work.

How do I make certain I am reordering the right magenta unit, and not a look-alike?

Match the code on the label of the cartridge you removed, digit for digit. For this listing that code must read 113R00724 — the high-yield magenta for this printer family — and the color band on the box should agree with the slot you emptied. Color cartridges in the same range share a shape and sit side by side, so shape alone cannot tell them apart, and guessing from the color of the last bad print is how the wrong unit gets ordered. Check the code before you check out, keep the empty unit beside you while you order for a machine like the Phaser 6180MFP/N, and the replacement that arrives will be the one the magenta slot is waiting for.

If the new cartridge arrives damaged or the first prints streak, what protection do I have?

You are covered for a full year in two separate ways: a 1-year warranty against faults in the cartridge itself, and 1-year free returns if you need to send it back. Keep the packaging until you have run a few color pages, note whether the streaking is only in pink, red and purple areas, and contact support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST so the symptoms can be logged while they are fresh. Orders leave from the warehouse in IL, PA, GA or CA closest to the delivery address. Full details are set out on our shipping and returns page.

About This 113R00724 High-Yield Magenta Cartridge

Magenta is the warmth cartridge. It is what keeps a company red from turning orange, a product photo from looking flat, and a presentation deck from drifting cold and blue. This Clever Supplies compatible cartridge replaces the Xerox 113R00724, is sold singly for $64.27, and carries a 6,000-page high-yield rating. That combination suits offices whose color identity matters on every sheet — estate agents with property photos, schools with certificates and displays, clinics with color-coded charts — where a faded magenta is noticed by readers long before it is noticed by the printer.

Fitting is a single-slot change on the Phaser 6180, and the same cartridge serves the multifunction members of the family, the Phaser 6180MFP and the Phaser 6180MFP/D. You replace only the color that has actually run down, leave the other slots undisturbed, and return to printing within minutes. Ordered under its own code, 113R00724, it arrives as exactly what the name promises: one high-yield magenta, in the right size, for the warm half of your color work.

For over a year I have bought toner cartridges for a Xerox printer from tonerandinkjetstore. Their products are high quality and much less expensive than Xerox toner cartridges.

Buying generic replacement toner carts is always a gamble. But these worked great with my Xerox.

Are the colors accurate? Good enough for what I use it for.

Toner appears to function same as OEM. Color looks the same and the cartridge was recognized as genuine Xerox toner.

I just compared the output of the compatible toner which came with the printer to the new xerox magenta toner cartridge. It looks (to my eyes) to be exactly the same as the manufacturer's toner. Did not have a problem removing the spent cartridge (it was
