What makes this the MICR version of the 106R02313?
The fill. What is MICR toner actually for?
Printing checks in-house on blank check stock. The line at the bottom of a check — routing number, account number, check number — must be printed in magnetic toner so bank reader-sorter equipment can process it. Businesses use a MICR cartridge to produce their own payroll and accounts-payable checks instead of ordering pre-printed stock.
Will my bank accept checks printed with this cartridge?
We will not promise that, and you should distrust any seller who does. Acceptance rests with your bank, its processing equipment and how cleanly your checks come off the printer — no toner supplier can guarantee another institution's readers. Should this cartridge stay in the printer for everyday work?
