Xpress M2870
Fax joins the fast D115 platform in the Xpress M2870 — 28-ppm-class output with a full fax suite for document-driven offices. Inbound faxes print whether you're watching or not, so the 3,000-page MLT-D115L high-yield is the realistic choice over the standard D115S. One-piece design, drum included. Our compatible cartridges keep fax printing affordable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I buy the MLT-D115S or the MLT-D115L for the Xpress M2870?
Both fit the Xpress M2870 identically; the MLT-D115L high-yield cartridge simply holds more toner and costs less per page, while the MLT-D115S standard cartridge costs less upfront. For a mono all-in-one with steady volume, the L cartridge means fewer swaps and lower running costs. Light or occasional users do fine with the S — toner does not improve with age, so there is no benefit to buying capacity you will not use within a year or so.
Prints from my Xpress M2870 look faded. Is it the toner or something else?
Rule out settings first: toner-save or draft mode left on makes the Xpress M2870 print pale indefinitely. With normal density, remove the cartridge — MLT-D115S or MLT-D115L — rock it gently side to side to redistribute toner, and reseat it. Even fading across the whole page after that means the cartridge is spent; repeating defects in the same spot suggest a worn drum surface inside the cartridge instead.
Do copies use more toner than prints on the Xpress M2870?
Copies run at full density with no draft mode, so a copy-heavy mono all-in-one burns through the MLT-D115S or MLT-D115L faster than a print-heavy one producing the same pages. Lower the copy density one step for text originals — readability holds up while toner use drops. Keep the scanner glass and ADF strip clean too, since dust and smudges get reproduced as extra toner on every copy.
