Xpress M2835DW
Wireless and duplex on the quick M2835 engine: the Xpress M2835DW is specified for offices that want speed without cables or manual double-siding. High placement flexibility often means the printer lives far from the supply shelf — one more reason to choose the long-running MLT-D116L over the standard D116S. Our compatible cartridges fit every M2835 variant and both yields.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I get the MLT-D116S or the MLT-D116L for the Xpress M2835DW?
Both fit the Xpress M2835DW the same way; the MLT-D116L high-yield cartridge holds more toner and delivers a lower cost per page, while the MLT-D116S standard cartridge is cheaper upfront. A duplex wireless mono printer with a separate imaging drum with regular volume benefits from the L — fewer interruptions and cheaper pages. Occasional printers should stick with the S, since toner slowly degrades and there is no advantage in buying capacity that sits unused for a year.
How should I handle the MLT-R116 imaging unit in the Xpress M2835DW?
Drums are light-sensitive: when you remove the MLT-R116 from the Xpress M2835DW, work quickly and never leave it sitting in bright light, which permanently degrades print quality. Do not touch the drum surface — skin oils cause repeating spots on every page afterward. If prints show the same defect at regular intervals down the page, the drum is likely scratched and the unit needs replacing rather than the toner.
Does automatic duplexing reduce toner use on the Xpress M2835DW?
Duplexing halves paper use on the Xpress M2835DW but toner per printed side stays exactly the same — each side draws its full share of MLT-D116S or MLT-D116L powder. Pair duplex with toner-save mode and multi-page-per-sheet for drafts to attack both costs at once. The drum also benefits indirectly: fewer total impressions per document set means the MLT-R116 imaging unit lasts longer in calendar time.
