Xpress M2820DW
Duplex and wireless on the fast D115 platform: the Xpress M2820DW is the cable-free, double-sided workhorse of the one-piece-cartridge line. Convenience configurations get used more, so the 3,000-page MLT-D115L beats the standard D115S here on replacement frequency alone. Our compatible MLT-D115S/D115L cartridges keep both options cheap.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I buy the MLT-D115S or the MLT-D115L for the Xpress M2820DW?
Both fit the Xpress M2820DW identically; the MLT-D115L high-yield cartridge simply holds more toner and costs less per page, while the MLT-D115S standard cartridge costs less upfront. For a mono laser printer with duplex and wireless with steady volume, the L cartridge means fewer swaps and lower running costs. Light or occasional users do fine with the S — toner does not improve with age, so there is no benefit to buying capacity you will not use within a year or so.
Prints from my Xpress M2820DW look faded. Is it the toner or something else?
Rule out settings first: toner-save or draft mode left on makes the Xpress M2820DW print pale indefinitely. With normal density, remove the cartridge — MLT-D115S or MLT-D115L — rock it gently side to side to redistribute toner, and reseat it. Even fading across the whole page after that means the cartridge is spent; repeating defects in the same spot suggest a worn drum surface inside the cartridge instead.
Does double-sided printing save toner on the Xpress M2820DW?
Duplexing on the Xpress M2820DW saves paper, not toner — each printed side consumes the same amount of MLT-D115S or MLT-D115L powder as a single-sided page. The real toner savings come from combining duplex with toner-save mode and the multi-page-per-sheet option for drafts. Treat duplex as the paper strategy and draft density as the toner strategy; together they cut everyday printing costs substantially.
