The C6000 uses TN-616K, TN-616C, TN-616M and TN-616Y cartridges, and a production run can drain a color mid-job. Keep at least one full spare CMYK set on the shelf, and check levels between jobs rather than discovering an empty cartridge at the start of a deadline run.
Do color-heavy jobs on the Press C6000 wear the TN-616 cartridges unevenly?
Yes - brochures and photo work can empty cyan or magenta long before black. Because each TN-616 cartridge is independent, track them separately and reorder per color instead of buying full sets every time.
Why does my Press C6000 refuse to print when only the yellow TN-616Y is empty?
Production color machines will not run color jobs with any color missing, and some will block even black-only jobs until all four cartridges are present. Replace the empty TN-616Y before restarting the run.
