Its toner is a magnetic formulation — MICR toner — loaded into the Q1339A frame. Bank reading equipment detects the magnetic signal in the character line at the bottom of a check; ordinary toner prints the same shapes without the signal, so the checks cannot be machine-read. The cartridge body and fit are unchanged.

Can you assure us our bank will accept the checks?
