Frequently Asked Questions

Why would a small team choose the 3 pack?

Three CE278A cartridges at $42.80 put a working cartridge in the printer and two sealed spares in the cupboard. For a shared office printer, that spacing means toner stops being a recurring errand — the stock is checked a few times a year instead of chased every time a warning lights up.

Which cartridge number should I check before ordering?

Read the label on the cartridge currently in the machine. If it shows CE278A — the part behind the HP 78A name — this pack replaces it directly. Matching the part number matters more than matching the printer's marketing name, since several LaserJet Pro models share this cartridge.

What yield does each of the three cartridges give?

Each is rated at 2,100 pages under the standard test measure — ordinary black text on letter or A4 paper. Heavy graphics shorten that; light memos stretch it. The three cartridges are identical, so whichever goes in first performs the same as the last.

How should three cartridges be stored and used in order?

Keep them sealed and flat in a dry cupboard, and use them in the order bought — oldest first — so the stock simply rotates. There is no expiry management involved; the rotation is about tidiness, not survival.

Does this cartridge also feed copies and faxes on the MFP?

On the M1536dnf, yes: copies and incoming faxes print from the same CE278A cartridge, while scanning uses no toner at all. A pack like this one covers all of that black output, not just pages sent from a computer.

What if a cartridge in the pack performs badly?

Every cartridge in the pack sits under the same cover: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. The support team, available Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, can help confirm whether a fault lies with the cartridge before you send anything back.
