Frequently Asked Questions

Which part number identifies this cartridge on a reorder form?

C4127XJ — the full code for the jumbo-yield black cartridge in the 27XJ family. If the label on the cartridge you removed reads C4127XJ, this listing is its direct replacement, and quoting the full code on a purchase order keeps the order unambiguous.

What does the jumbo rating of 15,000 pages change day to day?

Each C4127XJ is rated at 15,000 pages, so on a high-volume machine the practical effect is fewer interruptions: longer runs between changeovers, fewer mid-job stops, and fewer occasions where a big print queue waits on a toner swap.

Is a jumbo cartridge a different size from a regular one?

No — it loads into the same cartridge bay in the same way. The jumbo designation describes the toner capacity inside the unit, not its outside dimensions, so installation on a LaserJet 4000 or 4050 series printer follows the usual routine, sealing strip included.

Output has started to fade at the left edge only. What should I check?

One-sided fading means toner is no longer spread evenly across the cartridge. Rock the unit gently from side to side and reprint the page; if the pale edge returns within a short run, the cartridge has reached the end of its contents.

Can this cartridge sit in a supply cupboard for months before use?

Yes, while it stays sealed. Keep it flat, dry and out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents. Storage under those conditions does not reduce the 15,000-page rating the cartridge carries.

What support stands behind this cartridge?

A 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns covers it. Our specialists are on hand Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the shipping & returns page walks through sending a unit back if one is ever needed.
