Frequently Asked Questions

What does "2 X BCMY" in the name actually mean?

It means two of everything: two N7DWF black, two P3HJK cyan, two 5PG7P magenta and two 3P7C4 yellow — eight cartridges in total, covering two complete rounds of every position in the Dell Color Laser H625cdw. Unlike a black-heavy bundle, this mix doubles the colors just as much as the black.

How does the price compare with buying the standard set twice?

One round of these four cartridges — one N7DWF, one P3HJK, one 5PG7P and one 3P7C4 — costs $71.60, so two rounds bought separately would come to $143.20. This eight-cartridge set is $124.69, which is $18.51 less, and the simple average works out to about $15.59 per cartridge. The saving comes from committing to the second round up front instead of ordering it later.

How are the page ratings distributed across eight cartridges?

Per class, the way they will actually be consumed. Each of the two N7DWF blacks is rated at up to 3,000 pages; each P3HJK cyan, 5PG7P magenta and 3P7C4 yellow is rated at up to 2,500 pages. We do not merge those into one headline total for the box — in practice the second round sits on the shelf while the first round is in the machine, and each position empties on its own schedule.

How should eight cartridges be stored and rotated?

Keep the second round sealed, stored flat in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight, and work strictly first-in, first-out: finish the first N7DWF before opening the second, and do the same down the line for the P3HJK, 5PG7P and 3P7C4. Marking the purchase date on each box makes the rotation easy to follow months later.

Who should not buy this set?

Light users. If your H625cdw takes months to get through a single cartridge, eight cartridges is a long commitment to one machine — and if the printer itself is nearing replacement, the unopened second round may never be used. Steady, everyday printing is what this box is priced for; occasional users are better served by a single four-cartridge set from our Dell brand page.

What cover applies to a bulk set like this?

Every cartridge in the box — each N7DWF, P3HJK, 5PG7P and 3P7C4 — is a compatible cartridge covered by a one-year warranty, with free returns for a full year, exactly as set out on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if anything in the set gives trouble.

About This 8 Color Set

This is the stock-up configuration for a hard-working Dell Color Laser H625cdw: two each of the N7DWF black (rated up to 3,000 pages apiece), the P3HJK cyan, the 5PG7P magenta and the 3P7C4 yellow (each color rated up to 2,500 pages), eight cartridges for $124.69. It trades one larger order today for a lower per-cartridge average and a shelf that stays stocked through two full change cycles.
