Frequently Asked Questions
Several of us share one 3333DN — how fast will we burn through five cartridges?
Shared machines consume toner faster than most people estimate, because every user's printing draws on the same cartridge. This pack holds five 330-8985 cartridges rated at 14,000 pages each — 70,000 pages in total — so a 3333DN serving a department at 6,000 pages a month gets roughly a year from the pack; at 10,000 a month, about seven months.
What is the 5-pack price per cartridge for the 3333DN?
$465.22 buys the five, which is $93.04 per cartridge — against $107.84 if you bought the same 330-8985 one at a time. Across the pack that is $73.98 saved, and the per-page cost falls from about 0.77 cents to about 0.66 cents.
When should we reorder, given the machine is shared?
When the second-to-last cartridge goes into the machine. A shared printer gives no single owner a feel for how fast the stock is dropping, so a fixed reorder point beats judgment. Fitting cartridge four of five is the moment to place the next order — the last cartridge then covers the wait comfortably.
Is this the genuine Dell cartridge for the 3333DN?
No. It is a compatible 330-8985, made by a third-party manufacturer to the same specification rather than by Dell. What stands behind it here is the stated 14,000-page rating per cartridge, the pack price and the warranty and returns cover below.
Prints from our 3333DN have gone faint mid-pack — what should we check?
Faint output late in a cartridge's life usually means that cartridge is nearly empty; on a high-volume shared machine the fade can arrive sooner than expected simply because the page count climbs quickly. A gentle rock of the cartridge can buy a few days, but the real answer in a shared setting is that the spare is already on the shelf — swap it in and note the date.
What cover backs this pack?
Every cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
