Unlike bargain brand toners Dell 331-8429 331-8432 331-8431 331-8430 Toner Compatible Cartridge Extra High Yield 4 Color Set is specifically engineered to work in Dell printers for optimum quality and performance
Why is this set sold under four part numbers instead of a printer name?
Because the box holds four separate cartridges, and each one carries its own Dell part number: 331-8429 for black, 331-8432 for cyan, 331-8431 for magenta and 331-8430 for yellow. Offices that order through purchasing systems stock and reorder by part number, so this listing is titled the way a storeroom would file it. If your paperwork shows one of those four numbers, you are looking at the right set.
What exactly does each of the four numbers stand for?
Each number is one color slot in the printer. The 331-8429 black cartridge is rated at up to 11,000 pages, while the three color cartridges — 331-8432 cyan, 331-8431 magenta and 331-8430 yellow — are each rated at up to 9,000 pages. All four are extra high yield cartridges, which is why a single set covers a long stretch of department printing before anything needs reordering.
Why does the black cartridge carry a higher rating than the colors?
The 2,000-page gap reflects how these machines are actually used: most office pages are text, so black does the heavy lifting. In practice the color cartridges usually reach empty first on color-heavy work, and the 331-8429 black is sized to keep pace over the same ordering cycle. Either way, each cartridge is replaced on its own schedule — you never have to change all four at once.
How does the $94.45 price break down across the box?
Spread evenly, the set works out to roughly $23.61 per cartridge. That average is worth knowing when you compare against buying the four numbers individually: purchasing systems often show singles priced well above a quarter of the set price, so the bundled $94.45 is the cheaper way to stock all four slots at once.
Which printers does this four-number set belong to?
These cartridges are made for Dell's C3760 and C3765 color laser family — the C3760, C3760n and C3760dn on one side, and the C3765 and C3765dnf on the other. If your supply records list any of 331-8429, 331-8432, 331-8431 or 331-8430 against one of those machines, this set matches that record.
What protection comes with a compatible set like this?
Every cartridge in the box is covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns, as set out on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from whichever of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses puts it at your door fastest, and support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if a part number on your paperwork needs confirming before you order.
