Frequently Asked Questions

What does this set put into our M577F?

One cartridge for every toner slot: CF360X black, CF361X cyan, CF362X yellow and CF363X magenta — the complete 508X family for that machine. Prints, copies and received faxes all draw from these four cartridges, so the set is the M577F's entire toner picture in one box.

Received faxes look faint while prints look fine. Is that a toner problem?

Possibly not — a single received fax can be faint because the sender's original was faint. The test is a page the machine generates itself: print a report or copy a document. If those are faint too, the black cartridge is nearing its end and this set covers the change; if they are crisp, your toner is fine.

What page ratings should we plan around?

The black cartridge is rated at 12,500 pages and the colors at 9,500 pages apiece, at standard coverage. Fax traffic is almost entirely black text, so on an M577F the black slot typically reaches the end of its rating well ahead of the colors.

Do we need the full set if only black is low?

You can install the black alone and hold the colors sealed — each cartridge is independent. The value of having the full set on hand shows up the first time a color job arrives the week a color slot finally empties.

How should the set be kept until install day?

Sealed in its boxes, flat, indoors, out of direct sun and away from heat. Give each cartridge a gentle side-to-side rock just before fitting it; that levels the toner and avoids a faint first run of pages.

What coverage does the purchase carry?

Every cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns. Orders ship from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, support runs Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and our shipping and returns page carries the full terms.
