Frequently Asked Questions
Are the two cartridges in this pack identical?
Completely. Each box holds two of the same compatible high-yield black cartridge, part number 106R02738, each rated at up to 14,400 pages. There is no first and second quality, no standard fill beside a high-yield one — whichever cartridge you fit first, the other is its exact twin waiting in reserve.
My machine says WorkCentre 3655, but I also see a 3655X mentioned. Which one do I have, and does it matter?
For toner, it does not matter. The WorkCentre 3655 and the WorkCentre 3655X share the same supply design and both run on the 106R02738 cartridge in this pack. The badge decides the machine's feature set, not its toner — order by the part number and the question answers itself.
What is the smart way to use a 2 pack — both now, or one now and one later?
One now, one later. Fit the first cartridge when the old one gives out and treat the second as your reorder point: the day you fit the spare is the day to order the next box. Run that rhythm and the printer never sits idle waiting for a delivery, while you never hold more stock than two cartridges.
What do I actually save compared with buying singles?
Two single cartridges would cost $77.12; this pack is $58.63, so $18.49 stays in the budget. Per cartridge the figure falls to $29.32, and across the pair's roughly 28,800 rated pages the toner cost works out near 0.20 cents per page.
How long does the unopened second cartridge keep?
Indefinitely, on any timescale an office cares about. The toner inside is a dry powder in a sealed unit; kept flat in a cupboard away from heat and damp, the spare prints exactly like the first cartridge whether it waits six weeks or sixteen months.
What cover do I get with the pack?
Each cartridge is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year — full details on the shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
