Frequently Asked Questions
What does this five-pack bring the SCX-6345N's cost per cartridge down to?
To about $71.56 per cartridge — $357.79 for the case of five, against $86.35 when the same SCX-D6345A cartridge is bought one at a time. Spread across the pack's 100,000 rated pages, the running cost lands near 0.36 cents per page. That is the real story of this pack size: the cartridge is unchanged, the yield is unchanged, and the only thing that moved is what each unit costs the department.
How much is saved across the whole case?
Five cartridges bought singly would total $431.75; this case is $357.79, so the saving is $73.96. For a department ordering this case two or three times a year, the pack habit is worth more than two free cartridges annually. It is also one invoice, one delivery and one shelf location instead of five of each — an administrative saving accountants notice even when the toner saving is the headline.
What does 100,000 pages mean in working terms?
Roughly fifty cases of paper, at the standard coverage the rating assumes. A department whose SCX-6345N produces 1,000 pages a week in prints, copies and faxes combined would need about two years to empty this case; one producing three times that goes through it in eight months. Either way, the figure that matters is your own — the machine's counter turns the rating into a calendar within a month of fitting the first cartridge.
Are the five cartridges all the supply the title promises?
All five are SCX-D6345A units, the code named in this listing's title and the one our catalogue lists against the SCX-6345FN of the same family. No assortment, no substitutions to sort through: five identical cartridges for the SCX-6345N, each one confirmed by the code printed on the cartridge you are replacing now.
How long can the later cartridges wait before being fitted?
As long as the pack takes to work through, provided they wait sealed, flat and in reasonable cupboard conditions. Toner does not perish in storage — a cartridge fitted in the pack's second year performs like one fitted in its first week. Work through them in arrival order, give each a gentle side-to-side rock before it goes in to level the toner, and the fifth performs exactly like the first.
What backing stands behind a case of five?
A one-year warranty against defects on every cartridge, and free returns for a full year from purchase — cover that runs per unit, so a fault surfacing in the fourth cartridge is remedied on the same terms as one in the first. The full text lives on the shipping and returns page, and our support team answers on weekdays, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, when the wording needs a human gloss.
