Frequently Asked Questions
One cartridge in the machine, one in the cupboard — is that the idea behind this two-pack?
Exactly that. A departmental machine like the SCX-6345N does not warn politely weeks ahead; it warns when it warns, usually mid-morning on a deadline. This pack puts one SCX-D6345A to work immediately and parks the second as the standing spare, so the low-toner message becomes a two-minute swap instead of an urgent order. Two cartridges, 40,000 rated pages between them, and the emergency purchase disappears from your year.
What does the second cartridge in this box effectively cost?
The pair is $154.20, so each cartridge works out to $77.10 — against $86.35 for a cartridge bought entirely on its own. Buying the pair saves $18.50 versus two singles bought separately, and the page cost across the 40,000 pages lands near 0.39 cents. It is the shallowest discount on this page's ladder, deliberately: the two-pack is priced for readiness first and bulk saving second.
Will the spare deteriorate while it waits its turn?
No — a sealed toner cartridge has nothing in it that ages on a cupboard timescale. Keep it in its bag, flat, away from radiators and damp, and the cartridge fitted months from now will lay down the same dense black as the one fitted today. When its turn comes, a gentle rock side to side before installation levels the toner through the unit, and it is ready.
Are both cartridges in the box the SCX-6345N's supply?
Both are SCX-D6345A units — the listing is titled for the SCX-6345N, and the code is the one our catalogue lists against the SCX-6345FN in the same family. There is no variety inside the box to sort out: two identical cartridges, each confirmed by matching the code on the unit currently in your machine. If that label reads SCX-D6345A, both halves of the pack are spoken for.
How quickly can this pack reach us if we have already run dry?
We ship from whichever of our four warehouses — IL, PA, GA or CA — is closest to the machine, which trims the journey considerably. It is the slower way to solve an empty machine, though; this pack exists precisely so the next run-dry never happens. Order it while the current cartridge still has life, and the crisis version of this purchase never needs making.
What cover comes with the pair?
Each cartridge carries its own one-year warranty against defects, and returns stay free for a full year after purchase — the spare is covered from the day the box arrives, not from the day it is eventually fitted, so there is no benefit in hurrying it into the machine. The terms are set out on the shipping and returns page, and weekday support runs from 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
