Frequently Asked Questions

The cartridge I pulled from my SCX-4300 is stamped MLT-D109S — is this listing that same cartridge?

Yes. The stamp on the cartridge is its identity, and MLT-D109S is exactly what this listing sells, in compatible form. Matching on the code rather than the machine name is the reliable way to reorder, because the code is the supply the machine was built around — if the cartridge in your hand carries it, this is its replacement.

What changes when I swap this cartridge in?

Nothing needs adjusting. The MLT-D109S is a single combined unit — toner and imaging components together — so the swap is the whole job: out with the old unit, in with the new one, and the SCX-4300 carries on. There is no separate second part to order, track or replace on a different schedule.

How is the 2,000-page figure measured, and what will I actually get?

The rating is set at 5% coverage, the industry yardstick of a page of ordinary text. Print and copy at roughly that density — letters, invoices, standard forms — and you should finish near 2,000 pages. Denser work spends the cartridge faster: copies of bold originals and pages with heavy shading draw more toner per sheet, so the total follows what you put on the page.

What does this cartridge cost per page?

Priced at $69.38 against its 2,000-page rating, roughly 3.47 cents a page. That is the honest arithmetic for a compact all-in-one cartridge; larger workgroup units run cheaper per page, and this machine's supply does not. Within this family, the two-, three-, five- and ten-packs reduce the per-cartridge price if your volume earns them.

Does this cartridge serve any printer besides the SCX-4300?

This listing's cartridge is the listed supply for the Samsung SCX-4300 — that is the machine it is sold for here. If your printer is a different model, check the code stamped on its current cartridge before ordering; supplies are matched by code, and a cartridge bought for the wrong code is a cartridge that has to come back.

What if the cartridge gives trouble?

It is covered by a one-year warranty against defects, with free returns available throughout the first year — a cartridge that streaks, leaks or fails early comes back at no cost to you. Details are on our shipping and returns page, and the support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
