Frequently Asked Questions
We use our ProXpress C3060FW lightly — how long will one of these sets realistically last us?
Quite possibly years. The set is rated at 23,000 pages in total — 8,000 from the CLT-K503L black and 5,000 from each colour — so a machine printing a few hundred pages a month will work through it very slowly. Toner keeps well in a fitted cartridge, so there is no penalty for the set lasting a long time.
What does each of the four cartridges do in the C3060FW?
The CLT-K503L black does the everyday heavy lifting: letters, forms and text documents. The CLT-C503L cyan, CLT-M503L magenta and CLT-Y503L yellow combine to produce every colour on the page, from a logo's blue to a chart's red. Even mostly-monochrome offices use small amounts of colour for composite greys, which is why the colours belong in the machine alongside the black.
Why buy the four as a set instead of singles as they run out?
Two reasons: the set price of $462.55 — about $115.64 per cartridge — is the efficient way to buy this family, and a machine that loses one colour usually has the others approaching the same age. Holding the full set means whichever cartridge the C3060FW asks for next is already on hand, with no delivery wait in the middle of a print run.
How should any cartridges we are not fitting yet be kept?
Sealed in their packaging, lying flat, away from sunlight and heat. Kept that way, toner cartridges are patient stock — the powder inside does not settle out or dry the way liquid ink can — so buying the set ahead of need carries no shelf-life gamble.
Is this the right set for other ProXpress models too?
It is listed for the ProXpress C3060FW, and the same CLT-503L family also covers the ProXpress C3010DW in this range. As always, the cartridge codes settle the question: CLT-K503L, CLT-C503L, CLT-M503L and CLT-Y503L on the outgoing set mean this box replaces it.
What if one of the cartridges gives trouble?
Tell us, and the cover responds: each cartridge is a Clever Supplies compatible with a 1-year warranty, and returns stay free for the first year after purchase. The full procedure is on our shipping & returns page, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
