Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually goes through four cartridges — is this pack sized for a department?

Four cartridges hold 20,000 pages of black toner. For one lightly used SP 3400N, that could be several years of stock — more than most single desks need. Where this pack makes sense is a machine that prints all day: a front office, a shipping desk, or a small department where the same printer feeds several people and downtime is not an option.

What is the per-cartridge price, and what do I save?

At $119.73 for four, you pay $29.93 per cartridge — the lowest per-cartridge price in this family. Against four singles at $43.80 each ($175.20), the pack saves you $55.47 and brings the running cost down to roughly 0.60 cents per page. If your printer steadily consumes toner, that difference repeats every cycle, not just on this order.

Honestly, could four cartridges be too many for me?

It could. If your SP 3400N prints a few dozen pages a week, a single cartridge already lasts a year or more, and tying up money in four is poor planning — a single or the two-pack fits better. Toner keeps well when stored sealed, but there is no prize for stocking years of it. This pack is priced for volume; buy it when your volume is real.

How should I rotate four cartridges so the oldest gets used first?

Use a simple first-in, first-out habit: keep the boxes in the order they arrived, take from the front, and put new stock behind. Writing the arrival month on each box with a marker takes ten seconds and removes all guesswork. Store them sealed, flat, and away from heat or sunlight, and each cartridge will perform like the first when its turn comes.

Does this four-pack match my printer?

These cartridges are built for the Ricoh Aficio SP 3400N and replace the Ricoh 406465 cartridge. Check the number on your current cartridge before ordering — 406465 is the match. The SP line includes several similar-looking models that use different cartridges, so the cartridge number is a more reliable check than the printer's shape or name alone.

How do warranty and returns work on a bulk purchase?

The same way they work on a single: a one-year warranty and one-year free returns cover every cartridge in the pack individually, so buying in bulk never weakens your protection. If one cartridge misbehaves, that cartridge is the one we replace or refund. The full policy lives on our shipping and returns page, orders leave from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
