Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually goes through two black cartridges back to back?

Departments sharing one C501SP for everyday document work: invoices, reports, forms, and correspondence add up fast across a whole team. If your machine prints a few thousand black pages a month, a single cartridge lasts a season at best — this pack exists so the second one is already in the cabinet when the first gives out.

How should we rotate the two cartridges?

Use them in order: install one, keep the other sealed, and swap only when the installed cartridge is truly spent — even fading, then the machine stopping black jobs. Marking the delivery date on the spare's box makes the rotation obvious to whoever handles supplies. Both cartridges are rated at 14,000 pages each, so the pack covers 28,000 pages however you schedule them.

Do both cartridges fit the same printer?

Yes — this is a two-pack of the same 842243 black cartridge for Ricoh MP C501SP. There is no difference between the first and second cartridge in the box; either can be installed first.

What if one cartridge in the pack turns out to be faulty?

It is handled on its own. Each cartridge has its own one-year warranty, so a leaking or streaking unit is replaced or refunded without returning the cartridge that is working fine. Returns are free for a full year; the process is laid out on our shipping and returns page.

Is the per-cartridge price really lower than the single?

Yes. At $103.89 for the pack, each cartridge works out to $51.95 against $61.19 for the single listing — $18.49 saved over the pair, with the same 14,000-page rating per cartridge. The saving comes from shipping two in one box, not from a different cartridge.

How fast can we get this pack if the machine is already warning?

We ship from four warehouses — IL, PA, GA, and CA — so most offices see delivery within a few business days. If you need help confirming this is the pack your machine takes, call us Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, before you order.
