Frequently Asked Questions

Does duplex printing make this cartridge last longer?

It makes your paper last longer — two-sided printing does not reduce the toner laid on each printed page, and the 3,500-page rating counts printed pages, not sheets. What duplex does change is the feel of consumption: a cartridge still yields its rated pages, they just arrive on half the paper. Expect roughly the same calendar life as the standard model at the same page volume.

How long is that, in a real office?

A small workgroup printing 300 to 500 pages a month will see about seven months to a year from one cartridge. The rating assumes 5% coverage, so report-heavy work with dense pages lands at the shorter end. On a desktop printer that mostly handles letters and office forms, a cartridge is close to a twice-a-year purchase.

The listing says E260d — what else does this cartridge fit?

The E260A11A is the standard supply for the whole platform, E260, E260D, E260DN, E360, E360DN, E460, E460DN and E460DW — the duplex unit in the title is one member of that family, not the only one. If your office also runs the non-duplex model or an E360, the same box serves them.

Honestly, what does a page cost here?

At $106.02 across 3,500 rated pages, the answer is about 3.03 cents a page — small-cartridge pricing, stated plainly. In exchange you get a modest one-time outlay and a cartridge matched to a compact printer's duty cycle. Desks that print in the thousands monthly would do better per page on a high-yield machine; the E260d was never built for that fight.

How do I squeeze the last pages out before replacing it?

When output first fades evenly, remove the cartridge and rock it gently side to side a few times — the remaining toner levels out and typically returns a few dozen clean pages. That is borrowed time, meant for finishing the week while the replacement ships. Fading that does not respond to rocking means the cartridge is truly done.

What if this cartridge arrives with a problem?

It carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free throughout the first year. Our shipping and returns page has the exchange steps, and a support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you would rather talk it through first.
