Frequently Asked Questions

• How many pages does the HP CN055AN print?

HP rates the CN055AN at about 825 pages under ISO/IEC 24711 test conditions, printing standard pages at around 5% coverage. Your own count will move with coverage, paper and settings — dense color pages use far more ink than plain text.

• Which printers take the CN055AN?

It fits OfficeJet 6100, OfficeJet 6600, OfficeJet 6700, OfficeJet 7110 and 3 more. The complete verified list is in the Compatible Printers section on this page — check your model there before ordering.

• Which number is the black — 932 or 933?

In this family the black is the HP 932 and the three colors are HP 933. The two numbers are one system — a printer that takes one takes the other.

• Standard or XL — which should I buy?

This is the high-yield version, rated at about 825 pages. It costs more up front than the standard cartridge and far less per printed page, so it is the right pick for regular printing; the standard size suits a printer that only runs occasionally.

• Is the CN055AN pigment or dye ink?

It is pigment ink — the same ink technology HP uses in the original CN055AN — so text stays sharp and resists water and highlighter smear.

• Does this cartridge have a chip?

Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer, so the low-ink warnings keep working. It is not a refilled original shell with a reset chip.

• My printer shows a warning after installing — what do I do?

Acknowledge the on-screen message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks, and restart the printer. If the warning persists, wipe the gold chip contacts with a dry lint-free cloth and reinstall.

• Can I mix this cartridge with original HP cartridges?

Yes. Each slot is read independently, so a compatible black alongside original colors (or the other way round) prints normally.

• 932/933 or 950/951 — which family is mine?

Check the number printed on the cartridge you are replacing. The families serve different OfficeJet generations and are not interchangeable.

• Is this an original HP cartridge?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge built to the CN055AN specification and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP; the HP name appears only to identify the printers it fits.

• What if the cartridge leaks, is not recognized or prints badly?

Stop and contact us — do not keep printing on a faulty cartridge. The lifetime warranty covers recognition failures, leaks and print-quality defects: we replace the cartridge or refund you.

• Need the other colors too?

The full set and the other single colors are linked under the family list on this page, so you can match this cartridge with its matching set.
