• What is in this set of 2?

• Black or tri-color — do I need both?

  The printer needs both slots filled to print. The black cartridge prints text; the tri-color holds cyan, magenta and yellow in one body — when one colour runs out, the tri-color cartridge is replaced as a unit.

• Do these cartridges include the printhead?

  Yes — on this family the printhead is part of the cartridge, so every cartridge in the set brings a fresh printhead with it.

• Do all the cartridges have chips?

  Yes. Every cartridge in the set carries a new compatible chip that reports its own ink level to the printer.

• Is the set better value than singles?

• Can I install just one cartridge from the set?

  Yes. Open and install only the colour the printer asks for, and keep the rest sealed — they store fine for when their turn comes.

• My printer shows a warning after installing — what do I do?

  Acknowledge the message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks and restart the printer. Most warnings are a one-time notice that a non-original cartridge was fitted.

• What are the C0PA codes I see on new HP 61 listings?

  HP refreshed the 61 line in 2026 with new retail codes (C0PA4AN/C0PA5AN) and revised, lower page yields. These cartridges replace the classic CH560/CH561/CH563/CH564 codes and the refreshed codes alike — the fit is one and the same.

• Is this an original HP set?

  No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible set built to the original HP specifications and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP.

• What if one cartridge in the set is faulty?
