Frequently Asked Questions

• What is in this set of 11?

  The box holds: CN684WN (550 pages), CB322WN (~290 foto), CB323WN (750 pages), CB324WN (750 pages), CB325WN (750 pages). Each cartridge is individually sealed.

• Which printers does this set fit?

The set fits Photosmart 7510, Photosmart 7515, Photosmart 7520, Photosmart 7525 and 11 more. The complete verified list is in the Compatible Printers section on this page.

• Why does this family have both a Black and a Photo Black?

They do different jobs. The pigment Black prints everyday text. The Photo Black is dye ink that only the five-slot Photosmart models use, for darker shadows in photos. If your printer has five slots it needs both: the 564XL Photo Black sits alongside the four everyday colours, and the text Black cannot do its job.

• Are all the cartridges in this set chipped?

Yes. Every cartridge in the set carries a new compatible chip that reports its own ink level to the printer.

• Set or singles — which is better value?

Yes — the set is priced below the same cartridges bought one by one, and one box restocks every slot at once. Check the per-cartridge yields above against your usage.

• Can I fit one cartridge now and keep the rest sealed?

Yes. Open and install only the colour the printer asks for, and keep the rest sealed — they store fine for when their turn comes.

• A warning appeared after fitting this cartridge — how do I clear it?

Acknowledge the message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks and restart the printer. Most warnings are a one-time notice that a non-original cartridge was fitted.

• Is this set made by HP?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible set built to the original HP specifications and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP.

• Does every HP 564 printer need all five cartridges?

No. Four-slot models run on black, cyan, magenta and yellow only. The Photo Black is used solely by the five-cartridge Photosmart models listed for it — check the Compatible Printers list on the Photo Black page against your model.

• Am I covered if just one cartridge in the box is bad?

Contact us with the colour and the problem — the lifetime warranty covers each cartridge in the set individually, so a single faulty cartridge is replaced on its own.

• Which cartridge in the set runs out first?

It depends on what you print: text-heavy use drains the black first, photo and graphics work drains the colours. Each cartridge reports its own level, and the spares from this set store sealed until their slot asks for them.

• What is the right way to store the sealed cartridges?

Sealed, upright and at room temperature, away from sunlight. Install each cartridge only when the printer asks for that colour.
