Printers from the first EcoTank generation are now old enough that their owners diagnose by eye: when the family photos from an ET-2550 start coming out cool and blue-green, experience says check yellow first. Our compatible T664420-S bottle is that refill — 70 mL of yellow ink rated up to 6,500 pages (ISO/IEC 24712, Epson methodology, the family's conservative figure).

Like the other two colors, yellow never split in this generation: Epson's Ink Finder lists T664420-S for all eight models — the five whose black is 664 (ET-2500, ET-2550, ET-2600, ET-2650, ET-4500) and the three whose black is the 774 bottle (ET-3600, ET-4550, ET-16500). One yellow, every first-generation EcoTank we cover.

The family's yield footnote rides along honestly: a couple of Epson's own model pages (ET-2600/2650) print 7,500 for this bottle while the reference pages print 6,500; our spec is the conservative 6,500, identical whichever model you own. The refill is the familiar routine — keyed nozzle on the yellow tank, fill that stops at full, no chip, cap the rest for next time. Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What does this bottle refill?

    The yellow tank of any of the eight 664-generation printers: ET-2500, ET-2550, ET-2600, ET-2650, ET-4500, ET-3600, ET-4550, ET-16500. Specs: T664420-S, 70 mL, up to 6,500 pages.

Why do prints go blue-green when yellow is low?

Green is cyan plus yellow. Starve the yellow and greens slide blue, while warm tones — skin, wood, sunlight — lose their warmth. It's the earliest visible low-tank warning on these printers.

My ET-3600 takes a 774 black. Same yellow?

Yes. The ET-3600/4550/16500 split applies only to the black bottle. Their colors — this yellow included — are 664 bottles, per Epson's own Ink Finder.

Is the yield 6,500 or 7,500 pages?

Epson publishes both, on different model pages, for this same bottle. We spec the conservative 6,500 on all 664 products so the claim is identical for every owner; the 7,500 figure is disclosed on the ET-2600/2650 category pages.

What type of ink is in the bottle?

Epson's US documentation for the 664 family doesn't declare an ink type, so this page doesn't either. Code, volume, yield and model list here are all from Epson sources; type is left blank rather than guessed.

    Will the printer reject it?

There's nothing to reject: no chip, no electronics. The nozzle either seats on the yellow tank (correct) or doesn't fit (wrong tank).

How is it different from the 502 yellow?

The 502 yellow (T502420) belongs to the newer 502 family — different printers, different keying, 6,000-page rating. This 664 yellow fits only the eight first-generation models listed here.

Can I top up a half-full yellow tank?

Yes — topping up the same family's ink is standard EcoTank practice. Just don't mix families; 664 ink stays in 664-generation printers.

Prints still look cold after a refill. What next?

Run a nozzle check. A blocked yellow nozzle band imitates an empty tank; one cleaning cycle usually restores it. A full tank, clean pattern and persistent fault is lifetime-warranty territory.

How should I store the rest?

Cap tight, upright, room temperature, out of direct sunlight.

Is this a genuine Epson bottle?

No — a Clever Supplies compatible built to the T664420-S specification, labeled compatible on the box and this page.

    What cover do I get?

A lifetime warranty — a bottle that fails to perform is replaced — plus free returns within the first year.
