This is the black bottle for the first EcoTank generation — the printers that started the supertank era. Our compatible T664120-S carries 70 mL of black ink, and it serves exactly five models: the Expression ET-2500, ET-2550, ET-2600 and ET-2650, and the WorkForce ET-4500. Those five take a 664 black. Others that look like their siblings do not, and the distinction below is worth thirty seconds of your time.

On yield, we take the conservative road and tell you why. Epson's own US pages disagree about this bottle: the ET-2500/2550/4500 pages rate it at up to 4,000 pages, while the ET-2600/2650 pages print 4,500 for the identical bottle (ISO/IEC 24712, Epson methodology). Rather than shop for the bigger number, our pages carry 4,000 — the figure no Epson page contradicts — and disclose the split openly. The bottle you receive is the same either way; only the marketing differs, and we'd rather undersell it.
The boundary that matters: the ET-3600, ET-4550 and ET-16500 do not take this bottle. Their black is the larger 774 bottle (140 mL); only their colors are 664. Some sellers list this black for those models anyway — Epson's own Works With list for T664120-S does not include them, and neither do we. If your printer is one of those three, the 774 black is on its model page and in the related products below.
Keyed EcoFit nozzle, auto-stop fill, no chip. Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which printers does this black bottle fit?
Five models, per Epson's own T664120-S Works With list: Expression ET-2500, ET-2550, ET-2600, ET-2650 and WorkForce ET-4500. If your model isn't in those five, this isn't your black.
My printer is an ET-4550. The name is nearly the ET-4500's — will it fit?
No. The ET-4550's black is the 774 bottle (140 mL); only its colors are 664. The one-digit difference between ET-4500 (this bottle) and ET-4550 (774) is the most expensive reading mistake in this range — check the badge.
Why does this page say 4,000 pages when my ET-2600's page says 4,500?
Because Epson publishes both figures for the same bottle on different model pages (4,000 on the ET-2500/2550/4500 pages; 4,500 on the ET-2600/2650 pages). We spec the conservative 4,000 everywhere so the number never depends on which page you landed on.
How much ink is in the bottle?
70 mL — the standard volume for every 664 bottle. The larger 140 mL bottle you may see referenced belongs to the 774, a different product for different printers.
Is this black pigment or dye?
Epson's US documentation for the 664 family doesn't state an ink type (its pages say only "EcoTank Ink Bottles"), so we don't claim one. What is documented — code, volume, yield, model list — is what's on this page.
Does the bottle have a chip?
No chip. Refilling is mechanical: keyed nozzle, fill that stops itself at full, cap back on. Nothing for the printer to reject.
Can I use it in an ET-3600 if the tank accepts ink?
We don't list it for that printer because Epson doesn't: the ET-3600's specified black is the 774. Compatibility here follows Epson's Works With list, not what physically pours.
Is this the same black as in the 664 set of 4?
Yes — the set contains this bottle plus the three 664 colors, and the set carries the same five-model boundary. It is not a valid set for the ET-3600/4550/16500 (their black is 774).
How do I know when to reorder?
The front tank window shows the level. Black is the steady-consumption position on these printers; most owners keep one spare.
Storage for a part-used bottle?
Capped, upright, room temperature, out of direct sunlight.
Is this a genuine Epson bottle?
No — a Clever Supplies compatible built to the T664120-S specification, labeled compatible on the box and this page. Not Epson-manufactured.
Warranty and returns?
Lifetime warranty: a bottle that fails to perform is replaced. Free returns within the first year.
