Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the yellow cartridge on a C5765DN run out at a different pace than the other colors?

Because yellow does quiet work in almost every color print. It warms skin tones, builds greens with cyan, and sits under oranges and reds, so a Dell C5765DN printing brochures, charts or presentation decks draws on the 332-2116 steadily even when a page does not look yellow at all. On text-heavy mono work it barely moves; on graphics-heavy work it can be the first color position to empty.

What does one color page cost with this cartridge?

The cartridge is $93.89 with a rated yield of 12,000 pages, which works out to roughly 0.78 cents per page for the yellow position. That figure is based on the standard 5% coverage rating, so pages covered edge-to-edge in color will use toner faster than the rating assumes. Treat 0.78 cents as your budgeting number for ordinary mixed office color, not for full-bleed marketing pieces.

How do I confirm this is the yellow my machine takes?

Check the part number on the cartridge you are removing: if it reads 332-2116, this listing is the matching supply. The 332-2116 is the yellow position for the Dell C5765DN — each color on that machine has its own part number, so matching the code on the label is more reliable than matching by color name alone.

Is this a Dell original or a compatible cartridge?

It is a compatible cartridge manufactured to the 332-2116 specification, not a Dell-branded original. It fits the C5765DN's yellow slot the same way and carries the same 12,000-page rated yield quoted for this part. The compatible build is what holds the price at $93.89 instead of the higher original-brand figure.

What are the signs the yellow is actually empty, and not another color?

Prints that drift cold and blue, greens that lose their warmth, and yellows that print pale or patchy point at the yellow position. The machine's own low-toner message names the color as well. Because yellow hides inside so many mixed colors, the visual clue is usually a shift in overall color balance rather than yellow areas disappearing outright.

What cover comes with it if something goes wrong?

Every compatible cartridge we sell includes a one-year warranty and one-year free returns, with the details set out on the shipping and returns page. Stock ships from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so delivery is measured in days rather than weeks, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST — you can also browse the wider Dell toner range if you are stocking the other C5765DN colors at the same time.
