Frequently Asked Questions

Two TN315 printers in one office — can a single restock really cover both?

Yes, and that is the quiet advantage of running two machines on the same cartridge family. Both printers draw from one pool of TN315 cartridges, so this five-cartridge set is shared stock: whichever machine runs dry first takes the next cartridge off the shelf.

What does the set contain?

Five cartridges across the TN315BK black and TN315C, TN315M and TN315Y color codes. In this series the black is rated at 6,000 pages and each color at 3,500 pages, and every cartridge fits either of your printers.

How does sharing one stock simplify office life?

There is one cartridge type to order, one shelf to check and no risk of holding spares for a machine that has none while the other sits empty. Five cartridges for $96.01 — about $19.20 a cartridge against $32.58 and $34.94 single prices — keeps both machines fed from a single line on the order.

Which printers are in this cartridge family?

The TN315 series fits these Brother models: HL-4140, HL-4150CDN, HL-4570CDWT, HL-4140CN, HL-4570, HL-4150, HL-4150CN, HL-4570CDW, MFC-9460, MFC-9560, MFC-9970, MFC-9460CDN, MFC-9460CN, MFC-9560CDW, MFC-9970CDW, DCP-9010CN, DCP-9055 and DCP-9055CDN. Any two machines from that list can share this set between them.

How do we stop one printer "stealing" the other's spare?

Keep the stock on one central shelf rather than in desk drawers, and treat the last cartridge as the reorder signal for the whole office. With a shared pool, what matters is the total across both machines — five cartridges in reserve is a comfortable buffer for two printers.

Does the warranty work the same for a shared office set?

It does. Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns under our shipping and returns policy, whichever of your printers it ends up in.

About This TN315 5-Piece Set

This five-cartridge set is stocked with two-printer offices in mind: because both machines take TN315 cartridges — black rated at 6,000 pages, colors at 3,500 each — one $96.01 restock serves as the shared reserve for the pair. Orders leave from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA. If your two machines are actually due a simultaneous full refresh, two of the TN315 4-color set will cover every slot in both printers.
