Frequently Asked Questions

What does a full refresh look like on a flagship machine like the MFC-L8850?

It looks like fifteen quiet minutes instead of four separate interruptions across the quarter. The set restocks the whole TN331 platform at once — black rated at 2,500 pages, cyan, magenta and yellow at 1,500 pages each — and on a high-duty machine that predictability matters: the flagship goes back to full strength in one maintenance moment, with spares consumed only as each color actually runs out.

Which printers does this set belong to?

The TN331 family, with the MFC-L8850 at the top of it: HL-L8250CDN, HL-L8350CDW, HL-L8350CDWT and MFC-L8600CDW. Cartridge codes TN331BK, TN331C, TN331M and TN331Y are the match to look for.

What is the flagship case for the set over single cartridges?

Arithmetic first: the four singles total $129.91; the set is $74.41, saving $55.50. Then logistics: a machine of this class usually serves a whole department, so one order that closes the toner subject entirely is worth more than the saving alone.

Does a flagship machine deserve the high-yield TN336 instead?

It is a fair question — TN336 offers 4,000 pages in black and 3,500 per color, and the heaviest MFC-L8850 installations do run it. But many flagship machines are flagships because of their features — speed, scanning, finishing — not because they print at maximum duty every day. For those, the TN331 set's lower outlay per refresh is the rational stock.

How are the set's cartridges replaced in practice?

Independently, one at a time, as each runs out. Buying the set does not mean fitting the set; the unopened cartridges are shelf stock for the machine, stored flat and used in rotation.

What warranty stands behind a full set?

Each cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns under our shipping & returns policy. Orders leave from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support (9 AM–5 PM CST) can help your office manager verify a fault before a return is raised.

About This TN331 4-Color Set for the MFC-L8850

The MFC-L8850 is the flagship of its line, and flagships are bought to remove friction from a department's day. This TN331 four-color set does the same for its consumables: the complete standard-yield platform — 2,500-page black, 1,500-page colors — restocked in a single $74.41 order, $55.50 below the cost of the cartridges bought one by one. For a Brother machine that everyone relies on, that is the appropriate way to buy toner.
