Frequently Asked Questions

Will drum units still work after sitting in storage for a year or more?

Yes, if they're stored properly: sealed in their bags, flat, in a cool dry place away from windows and heat sources. The drum's coating is light-sensitive, so the packaging matters — an unopened drum keeps well for a long shelf stay. Open a unit only when the printer actually calls for the change.

Which printers does the DR350 fit?

It is built for DCP-7010, DCP-7020, DCP-7025, HL-2030, HL-2030R, HL-2040, HL-2040N, HL-2040R, HL-2070N, HL-2070NR, Intellifax 2820, Intellifax 2850, Intellifax 2910, Intellifax 2920, MFC-7220, MFC-7225N, MFC-7420, MFC-7820D and MFC-7820N, pairing with the TN350 toner in each of them. Your current drum is labeled with its model, which is the quickest way to confirm before ordering. More of the range can be seen on our Brother page.

What is actually wearing out inside a drum?

A thin photosensitive coating on the drum cylinder, plus the cleaning mechanism that wipes it after each page. Every printed page is one more pass of light, charge and wiping, so the surface gradually loses its ability to hold a crisp image — prints get faint or dirty. Toner fails differently: it's simply powder that runs out. That's the fundamental difference between the two parts.

How much drum life is in this 4-pack?

Four drums at about 12,000 rated pages each give you roughly 48,000 pages of drum life. Translated into toner terms, that's around twenty TN350 cartridge cycles. For a printer that's still mechanically sound, this pack can cover years of ordinary office printing.

What does each drum cost here?

The pack is $96.63, which works out to $24.16 per drum. That's the per-unit figure to compare if you're deciding between pack sizes — the 4-pack is aimed at owners who know the printer is staying and would rather stock up once.

Am I covered if one drum from the pack disappoints?

Yes — the one-year warranty applies to each drum individually, and returns are free for a year; the full terms are on our shipping and returns page. Stocking up in advance doesn't start any clock against you on a unit still sealed in its bag — just contact us if one underperforms.
