Frequently Asked Questions

Sixteen thousand pages of toner against a single drum — how far does this box carry a busy department?

A long way into the drum's life. The box holds two genuine TN850 cartridges at 8,000 pages each, so its toner alone covers 16,000 pages of departmental printing; the DR820 drum fitted alongside them is rated at 30,000 pages, meaning the pair of cartridges works through just over half of the drum's rated life. For a shared workgroup printer, that is typically several months of output bought in one order — with a drum change and the next cartridge change both taken off the to-do list at once.

What does this size save against the parts?

$44.09. Bought individually, two TN850 cartridges at $140.79 and a DR820 drum at $159.29 total $440.87. The bundle is $396.78, and it is $198.39 under its own $595.17 list price. The discount deepens as this family's boxes grow — and this size pairs it with the most toner a single drum fitting can sensibly be stocked with.

Why stock the second cartridge now rather than order it later?

Because on a high-volume machine the gap between cartridges is where unplanned downtime hides. With the spare TN850 already on site, the swap after the first cartridge is a two-minute job done by whoever is nearest the printer. Departments buy this size to make toner a background detail for a whole season rather than a recurring errand.

Which printers does this bundle fit?

The eleven workgroup models built on the TN850 and DR820: the HL-L6200DW, HL-L6200DWT, HL-L6250 DN, HL-L6250DW, HL-L6300DW, HL-L6400DW and HL-L6400DWT; and the MFC-L6700DW, MFC-L6750DW, MFC-L6800DW and MFC-L6900DW. The cartridges and drum are interchangeable across that list, so one box can serve two different models if the department runs a mixed pair.

How should the spare cartridge be kept until it is fitted?

Sealed in its Brother packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. The interval involved is one cartridge cycle on a busy machine — weeks to a few months — which is well within what a factory-sealed genuine cartridge shrugs off. Keep the box intact and the cartridge will be exactly as it left the factory when its turn comes.

What are the return and warranty terms on the bundle?

Every component is genuine Brother stock, so the OEM arrangement applies throughout: returns within 30 days of delivery, in all cases, and warranty protection under Brother's manufacturer warranty. Our shipping and returns page sets out the full wording. Those terms are the complete cover for this bundle; the longer arrangements elsewhere on the site belong to the compatible range.
