Frequently Asked Questions

This printer was just installed. How do we make sure our first supply order is the right one?

Check the numbers on the cartridges that came with the machine — or on the printer's supplies display — against the four in this set: 106R01569 for black, 106R01566 for cyan, 106R01567 for magenta and 106R01568 for yellow. Starter cartridges are often smaller than full ones, but the part-number family is what matters, and these are the high-yield refills for it.

What does the first order at $322.35 consist of?

Four full-size sealed cartridges — one per color — in the high-yield line. Nothing else is bundled in; if the machine later requests drums or other service parts, those come as their own items when their turn arrives, which on a new installation is a long way off.

How long should we expect a set to last in a growing office?

The honest answer is that your first set tells you. Ratings say 24,000 pages for black and 17,200 for each color at standard coverage; a growing office's real mix — proposals, invoices, the occasional color deck — lands somewhere of its own. Note the meter reading when the set goes in, and at the first swap you will have your office's true consumption figure for planning.

What do we do with the empty cartridges when they come out?

Keep the box the new set arrived in and drop the empties into it as they are replaced; from there they can go to a toner recycling stream. Refilling empties is not something we recommend — print quality suffers and a leaking refill inside a nearly new machine is a poor trade. The label on each empty also carries its part number, which doubles as your reorder reference.

How does delivery reach a new office setup?

From the closest of our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, with the details laid out on our shipping and returns page. Once the first set is in place, recording the four part numbers in your office supplies list makes every later order a one-line task.

What cover does a new installation get with these cartridges?

Each cartridge stands behind a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so an early failure is exchanged or refunded without drama. Support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the wider Xerox selection is gathered on the brand page as the office's equipment list grows.

About This Phaser 7800DXS High-Yield Toner Set

Every printer has a first refill, and for the Phaser 7800DXS this high-yield set is the right shape for it: four sealed cartridges — black rated at 24,000 pages, colors at 17,200 apiece — at $322.35, sized for an office that expects its printing to grow. It belongs to the Phaser 7800 family, and its identity is printed on the cartridges themselves, so there is no guesswork at install or at reorder. Put the set in, note the meter, and you have both a supplied printer and the beginnings of your own usage record.
