Frequently Asked Questions

This listing says Premium Quality — does it cost more than the standard five-pack?

No, and the figures are worth stating plainly: this five-pack is $395.49, exactly what the standard SCX-D6555A five-pack costs — $79.10 a cartridge either way, against $93.89 bought singly. The Premium Quality name adds nothing to the price, changes nothing about the 25,000-page rating of each cartridge, and alters neither the warranty nor the returns standing behind them. Judge this listing by its numbers, because its numbers are the standard pack's numbers.

So what exactly does the $395.49 buy?

Five SCX-D6555A black cartridges, each rated at 25,000 pages — 125,000 pages of supply at about 0.32 cents a page. Set against five singles at $93.89, which would total $469.45, the pack keeps $73.96 in your budget. What the name buys is nothing extra and nothing less: the same cartridge, the same rating, the same cover, in the family's standard five-pack quantity at the standard five-pack price.

Which machine do these five cartridges serve?

The SCX-D6555A is the high-yield black supply listed for the Samsung SCX-6545N department multifunction printer. If the cartridge your machine hands back to you is stamped with that code, each unit in this pack is its compatible replacement — the Premium Quality heading describes this listing, not a different cartridge.

How should we work through five cartridges so none sits too long?

First in, first out, with the minimum of ceremony: keep them sealed in their boxes, stored flat in a dry cupboard, and always fit the one that has been on the shelf longest. Copies and prints both draw from whichever SCX-D6555A is fitted — scanning draws nothing — so rotation is about warehouse tidiness, not about resting a cartridge between jobs.

Does the whole pack arrive together?

Yes, as one shipment from whichever of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses is closest. One arrival settles the supply question for the pack's whole working life — at a department pace of 5,000 printed and copied pages a month, that is roughly two years before toner needs ordering again.

What protection covers a Premium Quality pack?

The same cover as the standard pack, cartridge by cartridge: each unit is protected by a one-year warranty against defects, and the purchase carries free returns for a full year — the details are on our shipping and returns page. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The pack is part of our wider Samsung toner cartridge range, and the name on the listing changes none of that — the protection attaches to the supply, not the adjective.

About This Premium Quality SCX-D6555A Five-Pack

Strip the adjective away and this is the family's honest five-pack: five SCX-D6555A cartridges, 125,000 rated pages, $395.49 — $79.10 a cartridge and roughly 0.32 cents a page, precisely the standard five-pack figures, with the standard year's warranty and free returns behind every unit. The code serves the SCX-6545N's print and copy work, and the shelf spare it leaves you is the real luxury it sells.
