Xpress C460W
Wireless joins the faster C460 engine in the Xpress C460W — color speed without the Ethernet cable. The CLT-406S family doesn't care about connectivity: CLT-K406S/C406S/M406S/Y406S fit regardless. Our compatible cartridges cover the C460W completely.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Xpress C460W takes four cartridges. Do they all run out together?
They do not. The Xpress C460W is a higher-speed wireless color printer with independent CMYK channels — CLT-K406S black plus CLT-C406S cyan, CLT-M406S magenta and CLT-Y406S yellow — and each cartridge is monitored on its own. Text-heavy printing drains black first; brochures, slides and photos pull the three colors down together. Replace cartridges individually as the printer flags them, and only buy the full four-pack when several are low at once.
The Xpress C460W will not recognize a new CLT-406S cartridge. What should I try?
Switch the Xpress C460W off, take the cartridge out, and clean the gold chip contacts with a dry lint-free cloth, then reinstall it with a firm push until it clicks into place. A cartridge fresh from a freezing warehouse or hot porch can misread until it reaches room temperature. Persistent rejection of a third-party cartridge usually comes down to a chip the printer firmware does not accept.
How do I keep color printing costs down on the Xpress C460W?
Make grayscale with toner-save the default for routine work on the Xpress C460W, so daily pages sip only the CLT-K406S black cartridge. Switch to full quality only for final output. Buy color cartridges individually as each runs out rather than stockpiling full sets that age on the shelf, and give every low cartridge a gentle side-to-side shake — the Xpress C460W often reports low well before the powder is truly gone.
