Xpress C460FW
The Xpress C460FW is the flagship of the 406S color line — fax, wireless, fast engine, everything on. Flagship configurations get the heaviest use, and heavy color use is precisely where four compatible cartridges beat four OEM ones by the widest margin. Our CLT-K406S/C406S/M406S/Y406S set fits the C460FW exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Xpress C460FW takes four cartridges. Do they all run out together?
They do not. The Xpress C460FW is a higher-speed color all-in-one with fax and wireless with independent CMYK channels — CLT-K406S black plus CLT-C406S cyan, CLT-M406S magenta and CLT-Y406S yellow — and each cartridge is monitored on its own. Text-heavy printing drains black first; brochures, slides and photos pull the three colors down together. Replace cartridges individually as the printer flags them, and only buy the full four-pack when several are low at once.
Colors from my Xpress C460FW print pale and streaky. Is the toner bad?
Pale output usually means a driver setting or a cartridge that needs redistributing, not dead toner. Confirm toner-save mode is off, then remove the streaking color cartridge from the Xpress C460FW, rock it gently side to side, and reseat it. If one color — say magenta — streaks while the others are clean, that CLT-M406S cartridge is the suspect; if every color is pale, look at the transfer belt or imaging unit instead.
I print wirelessly to the Xpress C460FW from phones and tablets. Any toner tips?
Wireless jobs cost the same toner per page, but mobile printing skews colorful — photos, graphics-heavy boarding passes, web articles — so the CLT-C406S, CLT-M406S and CLT-Y406S cartridges drain faster than they would on office documents. Check color levels in the printer app regularly. Setting the mobile driver default to grayscale keeps casual prints on black and reserves color for when you actually want it.
