Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the CP1025 use a carousel, and what does that mean for this set?

Instead of four fixed slots, the CP1025 rotates its cartridges past the drum on a carousel. This box supplies all four positions: CE310A black, CE311A cyan, CE312A yellow and CE313A magenta, the complete 126A family for $97.58. The printer turns the carousel to each color in turn during a page, which is why a missing or empty station stops color work entirely.

Do the four cartridges have to go in in a particular order?

The machine guides you — when you open the carousel door it presents one position at a time, and each cartridge is keyed by its color. Follow the color labels rather than forcing a sequence of your own, and let the printer rotate to the next slot between changes.

What page counts are these cartridges rated for?

Black, the CE310A, is rated at 1,200 pages; the three colors, CE311A, CE312A and CE313A, are each rated at 1,000 pages at standard coverage. Graphics-heavy pages lay down more toner per sheet, so a design-heavy CP1025 will finish colors sooner than those numbers imply.

My CP1025 has no screen. How do I know which station is low?

Print a supplies status page from the driver or the printer's button sequence — it reports each of the four levels individually. Reading that page before ordering tells you whether you need this whole set or a single color next time.

Can I fit just the black now and keep the colors sealed?

Yes. Each cartridge is packed separately, so the CE310A can go in today while the three colors wait in their boxes. Sealed toner keeps well on a shelf, which makes the full set a sensible buy even when only one station is empty.

What backing comes with the set?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns stand behind every cartridge in the box — a dud unit in its first year costs nothing to send back.

About This 126A Set for the Color LaserJet CP1025

The CP1025 earned its following by being one of the smallest color lasers ever sold, and its carousel design is the reason a complete four-cartridge set matters: every station works on every color page. This $97.58 box covers the machine end to end — CE310A, CE311A, CE312A and CE313A under the 126A family name. The printer itself is covered on the Color LaserJet CP1025 page.

Delivery runs out of warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, with the full terms on the shipping & returns page. Support hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and more supplies for this family live under the store's HP heading.
