Frequently Asked Questions

How should we rotate five cartridges so none sits too long?

First in, first out. Keep the Dell B1160-series cartridges in the order they arrived, fit the oldest remaining one whenever the B1163 asks for a change, and reorder when you open the fourth. Toner keeps well sealed, but a simple rotation means no cartridge gathers dust for years while its neighbours do all the work.

What does this 5-pack cost per cartridge?

$17.97. The pack is $89.86 against $163.80 for five singles at $32.76, saving $73.94. With each 331-7335 rated at up to 1,500 pages, the five give you 7,500 pages of printing for that price.

What does 7,500 pages mean in B1163 time?

Divide it by your monthly output. A B1163 printing 300 pages a month works through the pack in about twenty-five months; at 600 pages a month, roughly a year. Because the cartridge is compact, a B1163 in regular use cycles steadily — the pack simply means most of those changes draw from the shelf instead of a fresh order.

What is the per-page cost from this pack?

Around 1.20 cents per page, compared with roughly 2.18 cents from single cartridges. For a compact printer like the B1163 — a class where per-page costs are never the lowest — that is close to a 45% cut in toner cost, and it is the main argument for the 5-pack.

If we add a B1165 later, does this stock still work?

Yes. The 331-7335 is the shared cartridge for the entire B1160 series — B1160, B1160W, B1163, B1163W, B1165 and B1165NFW. Stock bought for the B1163 transfers to any of them, which takes the risk out of holding five.

What backs the pack if a cartridge faults?

Each cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, individually — one faulty cartridge does not affect your cover on the rest. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses. Full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
